What's new
The Whelpkeep changelog — recent improvements to deposits, records, compliance, buyer pages and your account.
The latest changes to Whelpkeep. We update the product often; this page is the short version of what's changed for you.
July 2026
- A whole-litter vaccination now ticks every pup. One vet visit, one certificate: file it against the litter and each pup's Vaccinated tick, the litter's "3 of 3 pups" count and the reminder all update together. Same for a whole-litter microchip visit. It applies to certificates you've already uploaded — nothing to re-enter.
- Your own contract wording. If you have house terms, write them once and every new contract starts from them, with each pup's details filled in — no more pasting between littermates. Edit a contract and click Save as my default, or set it up under Account & Settings → Contract wording. The compliance details, the Australian Consumer Law note, the NSW guarantee and the signature block are still added automatically, so they can't go stale. See Use your own contract wording.
- Cash and bank-transfer payments. You can now record money a buyer has already handed you — no Stripe needed. It counts exactly like a card deposit: it comes off the balance, moves the sale along, unlocks the buyer's puppy page and joins the evidence pack. Card payments stay labelled confirmed by Stripe; ones you enter are labelled recorded by you, so your buyer is never told a card cleared when it didn't. The same button records the final balance paid in cash on pick-up day. See Record a cash or bank-transfer payment.
- A public pricing page. Plans and prices are now on the website, so you can check what's included without logging in.
- Signing in when your email isn't confirmed no longer dead-ends — we resend the link instead of leaving you stuck.
- Faster everywhere. Our database moved to Sydney, so pages that used to take two to three seconds now load in well under one.
June 2026
- A help centre. These documentation pages are new — searchable guides, a full field reference, and the Ask Whelpkeep assistant on every page.
- Inline field help. Look for the small "?" next to a field in the app for a quick "what is this and why do you need it", with a link to the full reference.
- Phone-friendly navigation. The app now has a proper menu on small screens, so you can run things from your phone.
- Faster, safer uploads. Records upload straight to secure storage, iPhone (HEIC) photos are handled across the board, and files are checked properly before they're stored.
- Cleaner buyer records. Duplicate buyer emails are now caught, and impossible dates (like a mating date after the whelp date) are blocked before they cause problems.
- Tidier sales list. Quick actions — view, download the evidence pack, and draft a buyer email — are now available right from the sales list.
- Two-factor authentication is available for your account, and required for our support team's admin access.
- Referrals. Invite another breeder and you both earn account credit when they first subscribe.
Tip — Have an idea or spot something off? Tell us via Contact & support. Real breeder feedback shapes what we build next.

- Record a cash or bank-transfer paymentBuyers don't always pay by card. Record cash or a bank transfer against a buyer and it counts exactly like a Stripe deposit — balance, puppy page, receipt and evidence pack — while staying honestly marked as your own record.
