The Account & Settings screen
What's on the Account & Settings screen — your profile summary and four groups (Profile & Access, Security & Billing, Workflow & Data, and Support).
Account & Settings is everything about your account. The top panel summarises your email, kennel name, prefix and plan; the rest is grouped into four areas.
Profile & Access
Kennel Profile — your kennel name and prefix, and the "refer a breeder" invite. See Referrals.
Security & Billing
Login & 2FA, subscription & invoices — two-factor sign-in, your plan, and invoice history. This is your Whelpkeep subscription, kept separate from buyer money. See Manage your subscription.
Workflow & Data
- Notifications — your reminder timing and which updates reach buyers.
- Contract wording — your own house terms, written once and reused on every new contract with each pup's details filled in. The compliance and consumer-law part is still added for you. See Use your own contract wording.
- Import your data — bring records in from photos, PDFs, Word docs or spreadsheets.
- Payments & deposits — connect Stripe to take buyer deposits into your own account.
- Recently Deleted — restore something you removed (arriving soon).
The plan badge
Your billing area shows a coloured dot and a label for your current plan state:
- Per-litter access (green dot) — a paid plan; paid features are on for your active litter's sale cycle.
- Free — read-only (amber dot) — your paid access has ended, so the account is view-only: you can still see everything but can't add or edit until you re-subscribe. Your records and puppy-page keepsakes stay safe.
Notifications — what you can be reminded about
Under Notifications you can switch each reminder on or off:
- Litter legal deadlines (microchip, vaccination) — the dated legal to-dos for a litter.
- Breeder ID renewal / re-check — when your breeder identity needs renewing or re-checking.
- Pre-mating vet check — the vet check before a planned mating.
- Weekly buyer-update nudge — a weekly prompt to post a photo or weigh-in for buyers.
- Deposit pending — a deposit link you've sent that hasn't been paid.
- Balance pending — the balance is now due before go-home.
- Unsigned contract — a contract you've sent that's still awaiting signature.
- Go-home day — a pup's go-home day is arriving or overdue.
"Also notify buyers by SMS" saves your preference, but SMS isn't switched on yet — it starts working once messaging is configured.
Payments status lines
On Payments & deposits, a coloured dot shows your Stripe setup:
- Connected — ready to take deposits (green) — Stripe is set up; you can take deposits and balances.
- Setup not finished (amber) — you started connecting Stripe but haven't finished.
- Not set up yet (grey/amber) — you haven't started connecting Stripe.
Turning on two-factor
Under Security & Billing, choose Set up two-factor, then:
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator or 1Password) — or paste the key/secret shown beside it instead.
- Enter the 6-digit code the app shows and Confirm. From then on you'll enter a fresh code each time you log in.
Support
Help & Docs, and Ask Whelpkeep — the plain-English guides, your state rule summaries, and the Whelpkeep helper.
