Your records are yours. Account & Settings → Download your data hands you all of them as a single spreadsheet, whenever you want, without asking us.
How to do it
- Go to Account & Settings → Download your data.
- Click Download my data.
- A
.xlsxfile lands in your downloads. It opens in Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets and LibreOffice.
Large accounts take a few seconds to build.
What's in it
One sheet for each kind of thing you'd recognise:

Your photos and documents
The Files sheet lists every upload — filename, type, size, and which record it belongs to — with a download link beside it. Those links work for one hour from the moment you download the workbook. After that, download the workbook again for fresh ones.
The files themselves aren't inside the spreadsheet. If you want the whole lot in one go, email support@whelpkeep.com.au and we'll put a bundle together for you.
Two things we do on purpose
Chip and phone numbers come out intact. Open a 15-digit microchip number in a spreadsheet and it will happily show you 9.56E+14 — and give it back with the last digit replaced by a zero. Since that number ends up on a legal contract, those columns are locked as text. Leave them that way and your numbers are safe.
Dates don't shift. Whelp dates, legal deadlines and weigh-in dates are written as plain dates rather than converted timestamps, so nothing moves by a day on its way out.
This works if your plan has lapsed
Downloading your data is not a paid feature and never becomes one. If you've paid before and your plan lapses, your account goes read-only — you can't add or edit, but you can still see everything and take all of it with you. That's the whole point of read-only. See Plans & pricing.
What isn't in it
Whelpkeep's own billing plumbing, the automatic reading behind uploaded documents, and anything belonging to another breeder. None of that is your record.
