Does QLD require records for dog or cat breeders?

Standard (must). If you keep 5 or more entire (undesexed) females, keep records for each dog — held for 3 years, or for the dog's life where required.

Does QLD require vet care & vaccination for dog or cat breeders?

Standard (must). Isolate any animal with an infectious illness and call a vet for the listed whelping, lactation or puppy problems. Vaccination is recommended but is a guideline, not a mandatory standard.

Does QLD require breeding management for dog or cat breeders?

Standard (must). Only mate mature, fit animals (or with a vet's approval), never mate closely related animals (parent, sibling or offspring), and don't breed from animals with known heritable defects.
