Set up compliance

Compliance is where you tell Whelpkeep who you are with your state, so it can apply the right wording and track the right deadlines. Whelpkeep supports NSW, VIC, QLD and SA.

Add your state breeder ID

Your state breeder ID has a different name in each state: a BIN in NSW, a source number in VIC, a supply number in QLD and a DACO number in SA.

1. In the left menu, open Compliance.
2. Enter your state breeder ID.
3. Save.

Whelpkeep shows a validation badge that moves from Check pending to Valid or Invalid, and it tracks renewals and re-checks for you.

Note — In NSW, a BIN is mandatory for all dog breeders, including accidental litters. It is not required for cat breeders. The rules pages explain your state's requirements in full.

Confirm care & premises

Each state has a Care & premises confirmation. Complete it under Compliance to record that your setup meets the requirement.

Work the checklist

Every litter gets a checklist of what its state requires.

• The checklist ticks itself off as your records and dates land.
• Open a litter to see what's still outstanding.

Tip — Add records and dates as you go (microchipping, vaccinations, the whelp date) and the checklist keeps itself current — you rarely tick anything by hand.
